Helen Rose Caenepeel

Helen R. Caenepeel, 99, passed away Wednesday, evening, June 22, 2016 in West Bend Nursing and Rehabilitation. Helen was born on November 11, 1916 in South Bend to Frank and Rose (Yagadich) Horvath. On May 28, 1938 in Our Lady of Hungary Church she married Leon Caenepeel. He died on May 14, 2014. She was also preceded in death by a sister (Rose) and two brothers (Frank and Steve). Surviving are two sons Christopher (Mary) Caenepeel of Claremont, CA and Michael (Nancy) Caenepeel of Granger,IN, 7 grandchildren Kathleen Mills, Sean Caenepeel, Jessica Knust, Patrick Caenepeel, Brian Caenepeel, Brent Caenepeel and Beth Hardy and 13 great-grandchildren Colin, Sarah, Ashley, Brandon, Lindsey, Emma, Brayden, Gracie, Hunter, Hannae, Olivia, Sydney, and Samantha. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Friday, July 8, 2016 in the St. Matthew Cathedral. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4-8 Thursday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue where a rosary will be recited at 4pm . In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Northern Indiana Alzheimers and Dementia Services of Northern Indiana.
