James Michael Reed, 55, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018 in his residence.James was born on October 6, 1962 in South Bend to John and Susan (Kopcsa) Reed. Jim was employed by Superior Transit of Elkhart and was an expert at whatever he did. He was an animal advocate and had several of his own, he would stop and help any animal.Surviving are his father and stepmother John and Patsy Reed, a son Marcus (Sarah) Reed, three grandchildren Hailey, Jaxon, and Natalee, sister Laura (Peter) Jeffrey, brother John (Tami) Reed Jr., stepsister Bethany Humphries and stepbrother Timothy Humphries.A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, February 10, 2018 in the Roseland Town Hall, 200 Independence Drive, Roseland, IN beginning at 2:00pm.Cremation has taken place. Burial of his cremated remains will take place at 1:00pm Wednesday, April 4, 2018 in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
