James D. Wiltrout, Sr. 77, passed away Friday, January 13, 2017 in his residence. James was born on November 7, 1939 in South Bend to Miles and Lorraine (Janicki) Wiltrout. He retired from Overnight Trucking and was a United States Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents and his former wife Carol Sue (Fuchs) Wiltrout. Surviving are a daughter Laurie (Steven) Byers of South Bend, son James D. Wiltrout, Jr. of Mishawaka, 5 grandchildren Christopher Hardy, Melissa Hardy, Gabe Hardy, Brianna Hardy, and Kiley Tompsett, 9 great-grandchildren Kandice, Myra, Matthew, Ella, Madelyn, Dylan, Dalton, Braydon, and Mason and a brother Mike (Marsha) Wiltrout of South Bend. Funeral services will be celebrated at 2:00pm Saturday, January 21, 2017 in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue where friends may gather from 1:00pm until services.
