John Kovach Obituary

John Cornel Kovach, 68 of Tempe, AZ, formerly of South Bend, passed away at 9:32am Sunday, May 7, 2017 in The Sherman Home, Phoenix, AZ. John was born on January 31, 1949 in Lafayette, IN to Cornel and Jean (Myers) Kovach. He was employed as an engineer in the aerospace industry, working for Boeing, McDonald-Douglas and NASA. Surviving are a daughter Christiana Kovach of Tempe, AZ, his father Cornel Kovach of Dayton, OH, his mother Jean Bordner of Osceola, and a brother Philip Kovach of El Segundo, California. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4-8 Monday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for the education of Christiana Kovach.
