Lorraine A. (Kosch) Jokerst

Lorraine A. Jokerst, 76, passed away at 4:36am Thursday, March 16, 2017 in St. Joseph Med Center, Plymouth. Lorraine was born on June 9, 1940 in South Bend to Theodore and Josephine (Kaluzny) Kosch. She had worked in Real Estate, retail & had been a 4-H Horse and Pony leader. Lorraine loved her dogs, horses & tending to her 80 + rose bushes & Dr. Pepper cause the kids didnt like it. She was a talented seamstress who made all her daughters Barbie doll clothes & lots of dresses. The hummingbirds loved her beautiful gardens & came in flocks. She was a good loser in games & made a mean lemon meringue pie. Most of all she loved her family & talked about them all the time. Lorraine was married to Ted Zwierzynski, with whom she had her children and then married Anthony J. Jokerst who was the love of her life. They both preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter Donna (Jerry) Ross of Plymouth, 2 sons Wayne (June Stoneburner) Zwierzynski of Mishawka and Brett Zwierzynski of Lakeville, 10 grandchildren Jennifer Zwierzynski, Nicole (Jim) Young, Ashley Minor, Larry (Angie) Walters, Austin Zwierzynski, Patrick Zwierzynski, Peter Zwierzynski, Andrew Zwierzynski, James Zwierzynski, and Elizabeth Zwierzynski and 5 great-grandchildren Paige, Morgan, Teagan, Case and Andin as well as her Missouri family. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Bilal Ansari and the staff of Hematology / Oncology for their care during this difficult time. Family and friends will gather from 3-6 Monday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue where services will be held at 5:00pm.
