Margaret passed away peacefully on Friday morning in her sleep after a lengthy illness. She was born in South Bend, IN to Joseph and Gizella Bango who preceded her in death along with 5 brothers, 2 sisters and several nephews. Margaret was a 1944 graduate of Central High School where she excelled in drama, singing and performing in plays directed by James Lewis Cassidy. On January 10, 1948 in South Bend, IN she married Don C. Sappington, upon his return from Hickam Air Force Base. He survives along with daughters Margo Amodeo of Monterey, CA and Carla (Michael) Kaczynski of Osceola, IN, twin granddaughters Karissa and Cassandra Kaczynski, grandsons Joshua (Tasia) Bailey of Scotts Valley, CA, Nicholas (Sara) Kaczynski of South Bend, IN, great-grandchildren Maddux and Trinity of Scotts Valley, CA and favorite nephew Gary (Carolyn) Bango of South Bend, IN. Margaret was a homemaker and co-owner of Centennial House Antiques with Don. Her favorite memories were of summers living at Eagle Lake and spending time with Don and their grandchildren. The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the very special people at Morningview Assisted Living, and Heart to Heart Hospice Services. Honoring Margarets wishes, there will be no services and cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Zahoran Funeral Home.
