Margie (Katona) Pietrzak, 84, of South Bend, IN passed away March 11, 2017 at home.  Margie was born October 30, 1932 in South Bend, IN to Joseph and Erma (VanDeWalle) Katona, and had lived in South Bend all her life.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet (John) Stout; granddaughters Jamie Stout; Jodi (Derek) Albright; great-grandson Raylan Pejza; and a sister and brother-in-law Betty (Stanley) Turek all of South Bend; niece Sharon (Marty) Van Dyke and great-niece Lisa Grohowski all of Fishers, IN.  Margie was preceded in death by her parents, and brother and sister-in-law Joseph (Lillian) Katona.

Margie graduated from Riley High School, and worked at Dave’s/Delta Star Electric for over 30-years, retiring at age 65.  She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, and spending time with her family and friends.  She loved Notre Dame, and the Chicago Cubs, and witnessed their world-series win this past fall.  Margie lived her life to the fullest, and will be missed by all.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, March 14, 2017 in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue with visitation 1 hour prior, followed by cremation.
