Elizabeth I. Hojnacki, 90, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018 in Springer Health Care. Elizabeth was born on June 25, 1927 in South Bend to Michael and Frances (Ellis) Bojtor. Betty was employed by Enro Shirt Co., Koszegi Leather Goods and Derby. She was a member of Our Lady of Hungary Church and its St. Anne Society. On September 1, 1951 in Our Lady of Hungary Church she married Thomas J. Hojnacki. He died on September 23, 2008. Betty was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Teri Leuthold, 3 sisters Rose Varga, Matilda Fabian and Mary Horvath and 3 brothers George Bojtor, Frank Bojtor, and Steve Bojtor. Surviving are two sons Thomas (Akemi) Hojnacki of Japan and Bruce Hojnacki of Mishawaka and a granddaughter Brittany. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Saturday, January 20, 2018 in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 3-7 Friday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue where a rosary will be recited at 4:00pm.
