SOUTH BEND Herman Danny "Dan" Scott, 66, passed away at 5:01pm Thursday, October 26, 2017 in St. Joseph Regional Med Center. Dan was born on November 14, 1950 in South Bend to Houston and Victoria (Tennant) Scott. On November 10, 1984 he married Geraldine Demharter. She died on February 7, 2008. He was also preceded in death by his father, and two sisters Betty Dawson and Kathy Milcherska. Surviving are his mother Victoria Toth of Granger, three daughters Shawn, Mary and Lisa, 5 grandchildren Justin, Moriha, Katie, Tyler and Hailey, a sister Debbie (Chris) Ozdyck of South Bend, two brothers Ricky (Diane) Scott of Florida and Duane (Angela) Scott of Tennessee and his best friend Bruce (Laura) Clayton. Dan was a US Army, Vietnam veteran, member of the American Legion 131, who loved hunting, fishing and working on cars and his dog Sassy. Per Dans wishes, cremation has taken place. Zahoran Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
