Linda S. Nowak, 66, passed away at 5:05am Thursday, October 12, 2017 in her residence. Linda was born on November 18, 1950 in South Bend to Carl and Eleanor (Geske) Bruegel. On September 21, 1991 she married Donald L. Nowak, Sr. He preceded her in death along with a son Donald L. Nowak, Jr., a great-grandchild and brother Robert "Bobby" Bruegel. Surviving are a daughter Tammy Ferrill-Hill of South Bend, son Troy (Wendy) Ferrill of Englewood, FL, 8 grandchildren Amber Ferrill, Brooke Ferrill, Crystal Lekarczyk, Courtney Johnson, Aaron Lekarczyk, Brandon Schaar, Katie Schaar, and Makaela Schaar, 11 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters Patricia (Robert) Hoffman of Mishawaka, Shirley (Joseph) White of South Bend, and Alice (John) Thompson of Texas, and 2 brothers Ernie (Jean) Geske of Granger and Dennis Bruegel of South Bend A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, October 14, 2017 in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue from 12-1pm. Entombment of her cremated remains will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care.
