Agnes Mesaros, 84, passed away at 4:00pm Friday, March 25, 2022 in Memorial Hospital.
Agnes was born on December 17, 1937 in Florence, AL to Troy and Mary (Cobb) Smith. She retired from South Bend Plastics where she was employed for 38 years. Agnes enjoyed gardening, crafts, bird watching, sunflowers, and humming birds.
On March 26, 1955 she married Bobby Clayton. He died in September of 2002. On May 7, 1983 she married William Roy Mesaros. He died in May of 2020. Agnes was also preceded in death by a son Dennis Clayton, a son-in-law Dan Riffle, a sister Helen McClendon, two brothers Earl Smith and Gaines Smith and a grandchild.
Surviving are two daughters Teresa Riffle and Tina (Roger) Davis, a son Darrell Clayton along with two step-daughters Pennie Sue Mesaros and Katie Jo Mesaros, a step-son William Roland (Jill) Mesaros, 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, a sister Hazel Owens and a brother Paul Smith.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses of the 9th and 12th floors at Memorial Hospital as well as the staff of Heart to Heart Hospice.
A viewing will take place from 3-6pm Thursday, March 31, 2022 in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue. Funeral services will be celebrated at 1:00pm Friday in the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Riverview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice.
