Agostino Galea, 81, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2026 in Memorial Hospital.
Agostino was born on August 15, 1944 in Sideno, Italy to Guiseppe and Maria (Crupi) Galea. They preceded him in death along with two sisters Rosa Sgambelluri and Immacolata Macri. He enjoyed the simple life, working, the outdoors and being with family.
Surviving are a brother-in-law Nicola Macri, 8 nieces and nephews Maria (Carmen) Martino, Guiseppe (Emilia) Sgambelluri, Antoinio (Maria) Sgambelluri, Cosimo Sgambelluri, Maria (Greg) Qualkinbush, Frank (Tammy) Macri, Anna (John) Skelton, and Viola (Bill) Ramsay, numerous great-nieces and nephews and other relatives located in Europe, Canada, and Australia.
Visitation will take place on Friday, April 17, 2026 in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue from 9-10:45am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00am in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Entombment will then take place in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Hungary Parish.
