Ann Marie (Klebusits) Deka

Ann Marie Deka, 99, passed away Tuesday, August 6, in her home, surrounded by her family.

Ann was born on July 24, 1925 in South Bend, IN to Louis and Mary (Tomasits) Klebusits. On April 22, 1946 she married Alvin Deka.  He passed away on April 13, 1960.   She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Nemeth and Irene Halasi and two brothers Alex Klebusits and Louis Klebusits.

Ann is survived by one daughter Rebecca Varga, two sons Glenn Deka and Richard Deka, as well as 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren and a sister Mary Marozsan.

She was employed by AM General where she worked until she retired in 1989.  She was a longtime parishioner at Our Lady of Hungary and a big fan of Notre Dame sports.

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 10:00am to 12:00pm in Our Lady of Hungary Church.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow with burial of her cremated remains in Cedar Grove Cemetery.  Zahoran Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.  To leave an online condolence, please visit our website at www.zahoran.com.
