Anthony "Tony" J. Siderits

Anthony J. “Tony” Siderits, 63, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.

Tony was born July 9, 1962, in South Bend to Joseph and Gloria (Gyorkos) Siderits. He is now reunited in heaven with his parents, his brothers Joseph A. Siderits Jr. and James J. Siderits, and his beloved niece and nephew, Gabrielle Parrott and Jacob Williams.

Those left to cherish his memory include his nieces Jackie Siderits and Katie Siderits, his sister-in-law Rebecca Siderits, niece Becca Williams, and nephews Tyler McPhail, Cody Petersen, and Caleb Petersen. His family, along with countless friends, will forever hold his memory close.

Tony worked hard and faithfully for 37 years as a proud member of the Asbestos Workers Union Local 75, retiring in 2024. He not only mastered his trade but also took joy in teaching and passing on his skills to others. A graduate of Riley High School and Indiana University, Tony carried his education into every area of his life.

He was also an exceptional artist. Tony once won a Hallmark Art Award—an honor he was deeply proud of, and a testament to his creativity and talent.

Outside of work, Tony found great happiness in simple pleasures. He loved working on projects around his home—his front porch was his most recent labor of love. He also enjoyed using his smoker, often sharing his homemade beef jerky with those around him. Many of his fondest times were spent in the company of friends at the Greenstar, where his presence, humor, and warmth will be deeply missed.

Tony was a man of kindness, generosity, and quiet strength. He leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, treasured memories, and artistic gifts that touched all who knew him.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 12:00pm in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue.  Family and friends may gather from 11;00am until services in the funeral home.
