In Loving Memory of Benjamin Sheehan.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Benjamin, a dedicated and passionate raft guide who tragically left us while pursuing his greatest love—shooting the rapids. He found solace and joy on the rushing waters, where his spirit soared as he navigated the currents with finesse and skill.
Ben was born on December 3, 1984 to Sharon Post and Rob Sheehan and brought an unmatchable energy to every aspect of his life. From a young age, he displayed an innate affinity for nature's wonders, and it was no surprise when he discovered his calling as a raft guide. His connection to people was profound, a testament to his unwavering determination to share his passion with others and keep them safe.
Guiding countless adventurers down rivers, Ben had an uncanny ability to turn every trip into a memorable and unforgettable experience. His infectious laughter, warm smile, and reassuring presence put everyone at ease, transforming strangers into friends and creating bonds that lasted far beyond the rapids.
Tragically, on August 28, the river he loved so dearly claimed him in the pursuit of his passion. While his life was cut short, his legacy will forever ripple through the lives he touched. He leaves behind his beloved family, parents Sharon Post and Rob (Heather Chase) Sheehan, maternal grandmother Mildred “Mitzi” Pasalich, sisters Kimtai DeMars, Jordan Wesel, Rowan Sheehan, and Mary Sheehan, brothers Greg McDaniel, Ryan McDaniel, and Simon Sheehan, friends, Sage and Benji and fellow guides, all of whom will carry forward his indomitable spirit and love for adventure.
