With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we share that Carole M. Nagy, 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Raclin House, Center for Hospice Care, surrounded by the love of her family.
Carole was born on October 4, 1939, in Constantine, Michigan, to William and Catherine (Weber) Shroyer. During her early years on Long Lake, she met Frank Nagy, who would become her lifelong partner and the love of her life. Their relationship grew into marriage on January 2, 1960, beginning a partnership that would span more than six decades. Frank survives her, carrying forward the love and memories they built together.
Carole’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife and a steady, loving mother to Christopher (Tamara) Nagy and Timothy (Kymm) Nagy. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Eric (Jackie), Kyle (Aveen), Andrew, Carla, and Casey. Her heart expanded even more with the arrival of her two great-grandchildren, Quinnlyn and William. She treasured each of them deeply and had a remarkable gift for making every person in her life feel uniquely valued and loved.
As a young woman, Carole played the French horn. She maintained close friendships throughout her life and enjoyed regular card games with dear friends. Carole worked as a telephone operator for General Telephone. She was a member of Our Lady of Hungary Parish, served as President of the Home & School Association, and generously volunteered with Milton Adult Day Services for 14 years.
She leaves behind a lifetime of love, carried forward in the hearts of those who knew her best.
Cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to Milton Adult Day Services or the Center for Hospice Care.
