Charismatic Caroline Rader Fletcher, 46 of Stevensville, MI, passed away on Oct. 14, 2024, from cardiac arrest. After graduating with a degree in education. She started her first SBCSC job teaching science at Clay, Adams, and then worked as the Planetarium Director at Kennedy Academy. She also worked at Jackson, and then downtown as a curriculum specialist. She finally finished her SBCSC career at Madison before moving to Watervliet High School for the last 2 years. She also did astrophysics research through QuarkNet and brought that science to students through initiatives like QuarkNet at Notre Dame and the Notre Dame Extended Research Community.
Caroline met and married the man of her dreams, Michael Fletcher Jr. for over 20 years. They continued a strong allegiance to one another and their children. Caroline is survived by her greatest accomplishments, her four beautiful children; Conor (Yuria)(21), Mason (18), Finly (8) and Bella (6), her parents; father Roy (Mary (step mom)), brother Roy (Charlotte) Rader II and sister Mindy Barela. Mother Margie Hyndman. Sisters; Alicia (Dave) Andrew, Kayla Hyndman, and brother Robert (Kathy)Hyndman, her former in-laws Michael Sr and Sandy, sister-in-law Janelle Adamo, and many nieces and nephews. Caroline is also survived by the thousands of students and families whose lives she has touched for the better.
Caroline loved learning and teaching. During her years in education, she impacted numerous lives all while fulfilling her passion of educating.
Services will be held at Zahoran’s Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Ave., South Bend, IN on Sunday, Oct. 20, 2024 from 11-2p. A eulogy held at noon.
