“The birds were chirping on the first day of spring, calling Chuck to heaven. The same day his sister Cynthia passed. He now has a new beginning with her and his parents.”

Charles Heritz Jr., 61, passed away at 2:46pm Sunday, March 20th 2022 surrounded by his family at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. Charles was born in South Bend Indiana to the late Charles Heritz Sr and Ella (Baer) Heritz. On July 7th 1990 he married Michelle Morris. He is survived by his daughters, Jamie Heritz  and  Amanda Heritz,  a son Brandon Heritz, sisters Cheryl (Robert) Pejza and Deborah (Robert) Hollingsworth, grandchildren Nicholas, Christian, Julian, Gabriel and Braxton, great-grandchildren Vincent and Bentley. He was preceded in death by a sister, mentioned above, Cynthia Heritz.

Charles was employed at Dexter Axle for 22 years. He was a member of the Welders Union and was a hard working man. He loved working outside in his yard, watching Notre Dame football, playing cards and pool with his friends, and riding his Harley Davidson. He was always the life of the party. But more than anything he loved his children and grandchildren and will be missed dearly by many.
