Clint J. Overmyer

Clint J. Overmyer, 64, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN.  He never gave up his fight against a brain stem tumor and complications from a diabetic coma.

Clint was born on January 26, 1958 in Mishawaka to Howard and Elaine (Weber) Overmyer Sr.  They preceded him in death along with three brothers Howard, Curt and Craig Overmyer.

He was a life-long resident of the Michiana area.  Clint worked several years for Clayto Hoover & Sons Roofing / Home Improvement and most recently for O’Reilly Auto Parts.  He also had worked in the lawn care business.

Clint enjoyed spending time with his friends at Picker’s Paradise Antique Mall in Niles, watching NFL Football, walks on park trails, collecting fossils at the beach and anything squirrel related.  He never met a cat or dog that he didn’t bond with, and they with him.  He loved to tell the time he had to stop for a deer that was resting in the middle of the road on Dragoon Trail and didn’t want to move on, even after tossing a shoe and gentle nudging with the truck door.

Clint is survived by his companion and partner in crime of twenty-eight years, Kitty Gerschoffer, his two daughters Amy Overmyer and Tifanie Overmyer, his son Adam (Anna) Overmyer, step-mother Beth Overmyer, grandchildren Isaiah and Tia Freeze and Melody and Jace Overmyer, and several nieces and nephews. 

We are thankful to the nurses (especially) Kelly) and doctors at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne who went above and beyond in their care for Clint and also Auburn Village in Auburn, IN for their care.

Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.  Zahoran Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
