Connor Schmatz Obituary

Connor M. Schmatz, 31, passed away Friday, November 15, 2024 in his residence.

Connor was born on April 14, 1993 to William and Patti (Jeziorski) Schmatz, they both survive along with sister Kelli Schmatz of Indianapolis,  Tyler (Elizabeth) Schmatz and niece Scarlett of Colorado Springs.

More than anything, Connor loved his family.  Spending time together whether on holidays, special occasions, or just anytime, always meant the world to Connor.  Also very special to him was his dog and constant companion Jack.

Connor graduated from Adams High School where he played hockey and lacrosse.  Connor continued to play on various Men’s League hockey teams and always was up for a pickup game.  His passion for hockey would often find Connor at Notre Dame and/or High school games.  He was an avid Notre Dame, Blackhawks, and Cubs fan.

He also took great pleasure in working at the Holy Cross Village and Retirement Community where he was always very helpful and enthusiastic in helping the residents.
