Darwin Alan Shipley

Darwin Alan Shipley transitioned from this world to float with the Cosmic Debris, peacefully and surrounded by family Saturday, July 5th. Born in South Bend January 28, 1962 to Eldon and Margie Shipley, he was the youngest of five children.  Darwin married Victoria Szabo and they had three children.  Darwin loved his family more than words can describe and he was always there for them when they needed him.  By far his grandchildren were his favorite people in this world, his movie buddies, music buddies, and riding buddies, he always had a smile when they were around.  He was also a great friend to many and always the life of the party, if he was there, the drinks were flowing and a great time was being had by all.  One last cheers to an amazing husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend.  You will be greatly missed by all the lives you touched. Darwin was preceded in death by his parents, Eldon and Margie as well as his brother Quint and his brother Darrell.  He is survived by his loving wife Victoria, his three chidren Adam (Yaritza), Aaron (Stephanie), and Alan (Brelynn), his grandchildren Yarienis, Aaron, Addison, Brooklyn, and Anthony, and his sisters Glynis (Jim) Skwarcan and Darlys (Jim) Glick, as well as his beloved dog Magi. Cremation has taken place.  A gathering of family and friend will take place from 4-7 Friday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue.  A Celebration of life will follow at 7:00pm.  Memorial contributions may be made to Pet Refuge or the Center for Hospice Care.
