David A. Stephens, 62 died Sunday, February 2, 2020 in Memorial Hospital.David was born on September 15, 1957 in Steubenville, Ohio to Charles and Agnes (Magyari) Stephens. Dave was a former police officer, truck driver, Hells Henchman, and vice-president of the Chain-O-Lakes Conservation Club and served in the United States Air Force.Surviving are his longtime companion Rita Freel, step-daughter Tara (Chris) Hoadley, 4 grandchildren Abigail, Joshua, Christopher, and Chloe a brother Richard Stephens, 2 nephews and a step niece and nephew. David was preceded in death by his parents and a step-son Timothy Ryan Moss.A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 5:00pm in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue, South Bend, IN. A. gathering of friends will take place from 3:00pm until services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to defray funeral expenses.
