Donald Czajkowski, 88, passed away Friday, October 20, 2023 in Healthwin Specialized Care.
Don was born on September 15, 1935 in South Bend to Stephen and Regina (Frantczak) Czajkowski. He served his country in the United States Air Force and then was employed by Torrington and retired from the South Bend Community School Corporation. Don was a member of Our Lady of Hungary Church, the St. Joe Young Men’s Club and Stakes and Mistakes. He met his golfing friends at his 8th grade reunion after retirement and enjoyed many hours of golf with them. .He played football in high school and had a great love for the game.
On November 3, 1956 in South Bend he married the former Anna Klotz. She died on July 6, 2013. He was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Mary Ann Czajkowski.
Surviving are two daughters Mary Ann (Zane) Geberin and Kathleen Ann Czajkowski, two sons Steve Czajkowski and Donald (Nancy) Czajkowski, 6 grandchildren Amy Geberin, Kaitlyn Horn, Michelle Gannon, Adam Czajkowski, and Laura Waldschmidt, 3 great-grandchildren Mia, Liam, and Anna, a brother Richard Czajkowski and his companion Celine Richard.
Viewing will take place from 5-7pm on Friday, October 27, 2023 in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Saturday, October 28, 2023 in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church.
