In Loving Memory of Elmer J. Trumbull Jr.

SOUTH BEND – Elmer J. Trumbull Jr., aged 76, left us on Thursday, August 10, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on December 21, 1946, in South Bend, Elmer was the beloved child of Elmer and Dorothy (Biggs) Trumbull Sr. He joins them in the afterlife, along with his two wives, Kathleen (Myers) Trumbull and Patricia (Thompson) Trumbull, his cherished daughter Megan Trumbull, his dear son Nicholas Trumbull, and his sister Diane Bridges.
Elmer was truly a Jack of all trades, possessing the remarkable ability to fix anything that came his way. He dedicated over four decades of his life to the Heating and Cooling trade, demonstrating his passion for helping others and his skills in his profession. Fishing held a special place in his heart, offering moments of tranquility and connection with nature. His visits to Nashville provided him with joyful memories that he cherished dearly.
Survived by his former wife, companion, and devoted caregiver, Kathleen Paidle, Elmer’s legacy lives on through his kids: Steven Trumbull, John (Kelly) Trumbull, Wanda (Jim) Badics, Jenny (Alok) Abraham, Tonya (Jacob) Harrel, Dawn (Chuck) Ridenour. As well as two sisters, Joyce (Ben) Bendit and Shari Webster.
Elmer’s legacy extends to numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will always carry his memory in their hearts. Cremation has taken place as per his wishes. A Celebration of Life, as well as the burial of his cremated remains, will be held at a later date, allowing friends and family to come together and pay their respects to a life well-lived.
Elmer J. Trumbull Jr. will be remembered for his exceptional talent in fixing anything that crossed his path, his dedication to his trade, his love for his family, and his zest for life’s simple pleasures. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.
