Con profundo pesar, pero con la esperanza puesta en las promesas de Dios, la familia de Ernestina Gámez Rodríguez comunica su sensible fallecimiento, ocurrido el lunes 29 de junio de 2026, a la edad de 75 años, en su hogar en South Bend, Indiana.

Ernestina nació el 7 de Noviembre de 1950 en Veinte Amigos, Durango, México. Fue una mujer dedicada a su hogar y a su familia, a quienes entregó su vida con amor, fortaleza y generosidad. Quienes la conocieron la recordarán por su noble corazón, su cariño incondicional y el amor inmenso que siempre tuvo por los suyos.

Le sobreviven su amado esposo, Guillermo Aguilera; sus hijos Guillermo (Blanca), José (María), Javier (Lucero), Víctor (Gloriela) y Miguel (Denise); sus hijas Mercedes, Emma y Maricela (Carlos) ; 19 nietos y 3 bisnietos, quienes conservarán para siempre el legado de amor y los hermosos recuerdos que dejó en cada uno de ellos.

También le sobreviven sus hermanas Francisca Gámez y Concepción Gámez, así como sus hermanos Víctor Gámez, Pablo Gámez,

Le proceden en su muerte sus Padres Jose Gomez y Guadalupe Rodriguez; sus hermanos Pedro y Eladio Gámez.

Se llevará a cabo una velación en la Funeraria Zahoran, 1826 Kemble Avenue, South Bend, 46613, el Jueves 2 de Julio de 2026 de 4 a 8 p.m. La Misa de cuerpo presente se celebrará a las 10:00am el Viernes 3 de Julio del 2026 en Nuestra Señora de Hungria, 829 W. Calvert Street, South Bend, IN 46613. Al concluir la celebracion Eucaristica, se realizara el cortejo funebre hacia el cementerio Southlawn, donde se llevara acabo el servicio de santa supultura.

With deep sorrow, but with hope placed in God's promises, the family of Ernestina Gámez Rodríguez announces her passing, which occurred on Monday, June 29, 2026, at the age of 75, at her home in South Bend, Indiana.

Ernestina was born on November 7, 1950, in Veinte Amigos, Durango, Mexico. She was a woman devoted to her home and her family, to whom she gave her life with love, strength, and generosity. Those who knew her will remember her for her kind heart, her unconditional affection, and the immense love she always had for her family.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Guillermo Aguilera; her sons Guillermo (Blanca), José (María), Javier (Lucero), Víctor (Gloriela), and Miguel (Denise); her daughters Mercedes, Emma, and Maricela (Carlos); 19 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, who will forever cherish the legacy of love and the beautiful memories she left with each of them.

She is also survived by her sisters, Francisca Gámez and Concepción Gámez, as well as her brothers, Víctor Gámez and Pablo Gámez.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose Gomez and Guadalupe Rodriguez, and her brothers, Pedro and Eladio Gámez.

Her family deeply appreciates the expressions of love, prayers, and support they have received during this difficult time.

A visitation will be held at Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue, South Bend, 46613, on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Our Lady of Hungary, 829 W. Calvert Street, South Bend, IN 46613. At the conclusion of the Eucharistic celebration, the funeral procession will proceed to Southlawn Cemetery, where the Rite of Christian Burial will take place.
