Eva Mae (Pavich) Kasznia

Eva Mae Kasznia, 89, passed away Friday, May 22, 2026 in Raclin House, Hospice.

Eva was born on June 29, 1936 in Elk River, Idaho to John and Mary (Berta) Pavich.  She was employed by Wells Electronics and the South Bend Community School Corporation where she worked at Marshall School.

On July 5, 1958 she married Robert Kasznia.  He survives along with two daughters Michelle Smith and Denise (Brad) Kissinger, a daughter-in-law Lynn Kasznia, 8 grandchildren Jessica (Mark) Scygiel, Jennifer Smith, Justin (Melissa) Smith, Julienne (Dan) Ramsey, Chad (Nicole) Kissinger, Zachary (Sophie) Kissinger, Quinn Kasznia and Seth (Alexis) Kasznia, 16 great-grandchildren and a brother Joe (Ruth) Pavich.  Eva was preceded in death by a son Marion John Kasznia, two sisters Helen Grzegorek and Margie Nivens, and a brother John Pavich.

Eva enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family and church family. 

A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, June 14, 2026 in the First Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1936 Altgeld Street, South Bend, IN 46614.  A gathering will take place from 10-11am with services beginning at 11:00am.   A private burial of her cremated remains will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the 1st Seventh Day Adventist Church or the Center for Hospice Care.   To leave an online condolence, visit our website http://www.zahoran.com or our facebook page Zahoran Funeral Home.
