Florence "Cookie" (Egyhazi) Wisneski

Florence “Cookie” Wisneski, 95, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026 in her residence, surrounded by her family.

Florence was born on November 4, 1930 in South Bend to Julius and Elizabeth (Foki) Egyhazi.  On February 28, 1960 she married Robert A. Wisneski.  He died on August 2, 1997.  Cookie was also preceded in death by a daughter Karen Meszaros, 3 sisters Elizabeth Wolfram, Frances Mittermayer, and Martha Egyhazi, and 6 brothers William Egyhazi, Joseph Egyhazi, Carl Egyhazi, John Egyhazi, Stephen Egyhazi, and Julius Egyhazi.

Surviving are two daughters Lori (Alan) Palmer and Jeani Wisneski, 3 grandchildren Joey Meszaros, Luke Meszaros,and Samantha (Jacob) Weaver, two great-grandchildren Tucker and Maisy and a son-in-law Joe Meszaros.

Cookie was a great cook, especially her Hungarian dishes.  She loved going to garage sales with Mary Lou, tailgating, yard work, but most of all she loved her family and being a caregiver.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 21, 2026 in Our Lady of Hungary Church from 12-1pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00pm  Burial will then take place in St. Joseph Cemetery.   Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society.  Zahoran Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.  To leave an online condolence, visit our website http://www.zahoran.com or our facebook page Zahoran Funeral Home.
