Frank S. Orisich

Frank S. Orisich, 97, passed away at 4:37am Sunday, March 29, 2020 in Memorial Hospital. Frank was born on March 14, 1923 in South Bend to Frank and Mary (Palatin) Orisich. He was a home builder and owner of Orisich Construction Company. Frank was Past President of the St. Joseph Valley Home Builders Association, active in the National Home Builders Association, a World War II Army Air Corp veteran and a member of St. Jude Parish and American Legion Post 357. On October 16, 1948 he married the former Helen Bobinecz who survives along with a daughter Sharon (Paul) Novotny of Granger, two sons Gregory Orisich of South Bend and Thomas Orisich of Cockeysville, MD; 4 grandchildren Allison (Jon) Ford, Katie Novotny, Franz Orisich, and Jozef Orisich; 3 great-grandchildren Harper, Margot, and Audrey and a brother Joseph Orisich. Frank was preceded in death two sisters Frieda Jurgonski and Matilda Kowalski and two brothers John "Yash" Orisich and Henry Orisich. The family would like to express thanks to Amy Robison and her children for their support as well as a special niece, Kathy Karczewski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am July 6, 2020 in St. Jude Catholic Church. Family and friends may gather from 10:00am until services in the church. Inurnment of his cremated remains will take place at 1:30pm in Mount Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude School.
