Genoveva (Madrigal) De Cerda

Genoveva Madrigal De Cerda, 72, passed away at 10:12am on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 in her residence surrounded by her family.

Genoveva was born on September 3, 1949 in Valle Hermoso, Mexico to Luz Madrigal and Maria Luisa DeLeon.  On September 6, 1983 in Edinburg, Texas she married Jose Lozano Cerda who survives.

Also surviving are 3 daughters Alma Delia (Leobardo) Rivera, Alicia (Ramon) Castro Cerda, and Concepcion Cerda, 3 sons Jose Luz (Leticia) Cerda, Javier (Sylvia) Cerda, and Joel Cerda. She has 33 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 5 sisters Maria Del Refugio (Abraham) Zarate, Ana Maria Garza, Concepcion Madrigal, Olga Lidia Madrigal, and Hermelinda Madrigal, and 4 brothers Jose Guadalupe Madrigal, Noe (Carmen) Madrigal, Javier (Elizabeth) Madrigal, and Juan Madrigal.

Funeral services will be celebrated at 4:00pm Thursday, April 14, 2022 in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue.  Viewing will continue after services until 7:00pm.  Viewing is possible through our webcast.  Please visit Zoom.com, click on join a meeting, 574-287-7125 is meeting ID number, then enter passcode 0000.
