James H. Barker Jr., 66, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024 in Memorial Hospital.
James was born on May 19, 1957 in South Bend to James and Janice (Porman) Barker Sr. They both preceded him in death along with his two wives, the former Tammy Sue Lyon and the former Tammy Jean Eisenhart and a son James H. Barker III.
Surviving are 6 daughters Jamie Lynn (Gator) Barker-Winston, Jennifer Louise Barker, Erica (Jeremy) Schell, Katherine Schell, Wanetta Lampier and Cristal Taylor, a son James Taylor, 13 grandchildren Ashley, William, Micheal, Anthony “AJ”, Breah, Leah, Jeremy Jr., Axel, Calista, James Jr., Paisley, Aryiah, and Braidyn, 5 great-grandchildren, two sisters Brenda (Alejos) Hernandez and Donna (Darren Collins) Barker, 2 nieces Kim Spychalski and Audrey Spychalski and 2 nephews Zachary and Donald Collins.
Jim worked as a roofer and school bus driver and enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and working on cars.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Zahoran Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements
