John M. Leap

John M. Leap, 57, passed away at 6:14pm Saturday, January 16, 2021 in Memorial Hospital.John was born on June 28, 1963 in Indianapolis to Frank and Delores (Szoke) Leap. He was employed by Jordan Automotive and a parishioner at Queen of Peace Catholic Church; blessed was he to witness in person the beatification of Fr. Michael McGivney, founder of the Knights of Columbus, an organization to which John belonged. In life, John lived up to his role as provider for his family and did so with sacrificial love.Surviving are his wife Lillian, daughter Autumn, sister Julianna (Jim) Corr and brother Garry (Jane) Leap.A rosary in Johns memory will be recited at 6:30pm Monday, January 25, 2021 in Queen of Peace Catholic Church. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Tuesday, January 26, 2021 in Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Friends and family may visit from 9:30 until services in the church. Masks are required and social distancing guidelines will be enforced. A live stream of the mass is available at www.queenofpeace.cc Cremation will follow with a private burial of his cremated remains in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park at a later date.
