John W. Toth

John Wayne Toth, 50, passed away on Tuesday, December 29th, 2020 with his wife at his bedside.Born in Mishawaka, Indiana on August 24th, 1970, John was the son of Frank Toth and Carole (Gundeck) Toth. John grew up in South Bend and attended St. Marys of the Assumption Grade School and graduated from Marian High School in 1989. He then received his HVAC certification from Ivy Tech.John was a member of Labors Local 645 and spent many years working on underground pipes for water and sewer systems. Everything changed for John on April 30th, 1994 when he married Maria Sebelski of South Bend. Maria and John spent their summers boating out of New Buffalo, MI, doing boat upholstery and spending time with family and friends. In addition to work, John had many passions. His curiosity and craftsmanship were evident in the model airplanes he built, in the cream pies he baked and the polish sausage he made. John could fix anything and always came to the rescue of family and friends who needed something repaired or a dishwasher installed. John loved to spend time gardening and with his beautiful bloodhounds, Lucy, Zoe and Bella. Most of all John loved Maria with all of his heart.He is survived by his wife Maria (Sebelski) Toth of South Bend; his brother in law Ron (Kathy) Sebelski of St. Cloud FL, brothers Frank (Tracy) Toth of Niles, Michael (Amy) Toth of Mishawaka; sister Joann (Gerry) Mott of Mishawaka as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. John is preceded in death by his parents, by his sister Julie (Kent) Haverstock of South Bend, and by his beloved in-laws Raymond and Rose Sebelski of South Bend.A Celebration of Life for John will be held at a later date.
