Joseph R. Karacson

Joseph R. Karascon (Christmas), 81, passed away Friday, November 28, 2025 in his residence.

Joseph was born on November 13, 1944 in South Bend to Steve and Gertrude (Greziak) Karacson.  They preceded him in death along with his former wife Shirley Kozakiewicz.

Surviving are two daughters Tina Karascon and Laurie Karascon, a son Scott (Lindy) Martinez) Weaver, 3 grandchildren Ashlynn Weaver, Alexander Weaver, and Olivia Weaver, his sister Merri (Robert) Heick and her son Christopher (Missy) Heick.

Joe was a veteran of the United States Army.  He worked as a truck driver and had also owned the Karas-Inn.  He managed the former American Legion Post 272 and enjoyed fishing and camping.

Cremation has taken place.  No services are scheduled at this time.
