Karen Sue Joo

South Bend– Karen Sue Joo, 57, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021 in her residence.

Karen was born on March 27, 1964 in South Bend to Theodore and Kathryn (Kennedy) Carney.  She was employed by Bender Plastics and enjoyed animals and going to the casino.  On August 22, 2001 she married Martin M. Joo.  He died on August 28, 2020. 

Also preceding her in death was her #2 dad Walton Gibbons.

Surviving are her mother Kathryn Gibbons, sons Curtis Joo and Chris Joo, daughter Melissa (Eric) Kaser, 3 grandchildren Amanda, Brandyn, and Jada, several great-grandchildren, 2 sisters Kathryn (Joe) Braunschiedel, and Kimberly Linner, 2 brothers Tracy (Yvonne) Carney and Theodore (Janet) Carney Jr. and several nieces and nephews.
