Lillian D. Szuba, 18, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025 in St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis after a brief and courageous battle.
Lillian was born on April 8, 2006 in South Bend to Sean and Amy (Hansen) Szuba. They survive along with a sister Emma Szuba, maternal grandmother Demetria Hansen and paternal grandparents John and Kathleen Szuba. Lillian was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Gregg Hansen.
Lillian was a freshman student at Purdue University in West Lafayette studying Elementary Education and a graduate of Penn High School. Lillian and her sister were inseparable from day one and the best friends anyone could be. She loved reading, spending time at the lake, turtles, watching football especially the Cincinnati Bengals and Miami Dolphins. Lillian loved spending time with her cousins, family and friends and especially loved family vacations to Disney. There was never any doubt on how much love she was surrounded by and how much love she gave to others. She will be forever missed.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 4-8 pm in St. Pius X Catholic Church. A Vigil Service will be celebrated at 7:30 pm. Visitation also will take place on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 9:30 am until 10:15 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Penn Marching Band addressed to Penn High School Bands, 56100 Bittersweet Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
