Marlene R. (Wach) Vogel

Marlene R. Vogel, 82, passed away at 6:15pm Tuesday, May 16, 2023 in St. Paul’s Retirement Community.

Marlene was born on August 8, 1940 in South Bend to Paul and Marie (Andert) Wach.

She was employed by Studebaker, Tupperware, Avon and Wells Fargo Bank.  Marlene was active in 4-H with her children and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and bowling. 

On May 6, 1961 she married Gerald F. Vogel.  He died on November 20, 2019.

Surviving are 2 daughters Phyllis and Laurie, a son Karl, 4 grandchildren Emily, Amanda (Gyuho) and Samantha, a sister Linda Sexton as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Cremation has taken place.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Friday, May 26, 2023 in St. Matthew Cathedral.  Inurnment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery.  Family and friends may gather for 1 hour prior to services in the church.   Zahoran Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Southerncare Hospice.  To leave an online condolence, please visit our website at www.zahoran.com.
