Mary E. (Nye) Nafrady

Mary Elizabeth Nafrady, 93, peacefully passed away at 6:08pm Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Hubbard Hill Estate in Elkhart, Indiana.

Mary was born on January 24, 1932 in Mishawaka, Indiana to William and Laura (Roberts) Nye.  On December 23, 1953 she married John E. Nafrady who preceded her in death on April 12, 2015.  Mary was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Surviving are, a son Bryan (Sharon) Nafrady, a daughter Barbara (Richard) Smith, 5 grandchildren Tara Towner, Ryan Smith, Anthony Nafrady, Justin Smith and Nicole Hamilton, and 8 great-grandchildren Elijah Towner, Eden Towner, Elliott Hyde, Evie Hyde, Brielle Hamilton, Abigail Hamilton, Colton Smith, and Everett Smith.

Mary was a long-time member of the First Church of the Nazarene of South Bend, Indiana.

She was a dedicated Christian and prayer warrior.  Her faith in God and a complete selfless desire to serve the Lord and others, is how she is best remembered.  She was loving, kind and gracious, and dearly loved by friends and family.  Her family was her greatest joy of all.  She will be forever missed.

 A Celebration of Life will take place at 12:00pm on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at South Bend Nazarene First Church Fellowship Hall located at 51690 N Ironwood South Bend, Indiana.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hubbard Hill Estates, Elkhart, Indiana.
