Nancy K. (Kish) Gomes
Obituary
Nancy Jo Kish-Gomes was born November 26, 1943 to Joseph and Lottie (Jurczak) Kish in South Bend, Indiana. Nancy graduated from St Joseph High School. After high school, she worked in a clerical position at St. Mary’s Academy. In 1962 she re-located in Arlington Virginia and worked for the Intellegence Agency. She then returned back to South Bend to work 19 years for the Bendix Corporation.eventually she returned to St. Mary’s and retired from the Sisters of Holy Cross in November 2008 on her Birthday!
Nancy was passionate about animals. She loved cats and sports especially the Cubs and Notre Dame.
She is survived by her son Joseph Gomes and Regina (Chamberlin) Gomes, two grandsons Alec Hurst and Joey Gomes, one great grandchild Emelia Hurst.
Gathering of family and friends for Nancy will be held on Friday March 17, 2023 from 3-7 in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue. In lue of flowers Nancy asked that any donations be given to the Meow Mission themeowmission.org .
