Nicholas Rozow, 78, of South Bend, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at the VA Medical Center in Marion, IN.
Born on January 5, 1946, in South Bend, Nicholas was the son of Peter and Margaret (Miller) Rozow, who preceded him in death, along with is two brothers, Peter Rozow and John Rozow, and his son-in-law, Bill Bennett.
Nicholas proudly served his country as a member of the 101st Airborne Division in the U.S. Army, including service in Vietnam. His dedication and courage as a paratrooper were a testament to his strength and character, and his service remains a source of pride for his family.
An adventurous and talented man, Nicholas excelled in many areas. A skilled pool player, he competed in numerous tournaments, including one in Las Vegas, and earned a collection of trophies. He loved riding his Harley, cheering for the Chicago Cubs—especially during their World Series win—and attending Jimmy Buffett concerts. Nicholas was also an exceptional cook, an avid fisherman, and a passionate gardener, whose vibrant summer flowers brought joy to all who saw them.
One of Nicholas’s proudest accomplishments, aside from his cherished family, was his successful car business. As the owner of Dealmakers Auto Sales for over 20 years, he left a lasting impact & legacy in his community.
Nicholas is survived by his daughters, Donna Bennett and Michele (Jason) Green; his sisters, Margaret “Anne” Lavanture and Liz O’Brien; his former wife Christine and his five grandchildren, Jack, Mila, Max, Addie, and Nick, along with their mother, Sue Walsh.
Graveside services and burial of his cremated remains will take place at 2:30pm on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 in Southlawn Cemetery.
