Ofelia Cao, 96, passed away at 1:22am Friday, June 30, 2023 in her residence.
Ofelia was born on April 2, 1927 in Havana, Cuba to Arturo and Amparo (Ramos) Valdez-Prado. They preceded her in death along with her husband Andres Cao and 11 brothers and sisters.
Surviving are two daughters Caridad (Martin) Powers and Rosa (Jorge) Arce, three sons Jesus (Katherine) Cao, Osvaldo (Ruth) Cao, and Victor Cao, 14 grandchildren Jennifer May, Alexander Humphry, Solangel Arce, Shanin Perez, Daniela Arce, Ronald Cao, Andres Cao, Tony Cao, Cristina Cao, April Cao, Osvaldo Cao, Esther Cao, Mason Cao, and Dawson Cao, 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Ofelia was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church and loved sewing.
Viewing will take place from 11:00am to 1:00pm Wednesday, July 5, 2023 in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue. Services will be celebrated at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
