SOUTH BEND –Richard C. Dombrowski, 88, passed away at 9:08am Friday, July 21, 2023 in the Raclin House, Center for Hospice Care.
Richard was born on August 5, 1934 in South Bend to Casimir and Laura (Chodzinski) Dombrowski. He was employed by Studebaker and was a City Councilman for two terms and the Portage Township Trustee for one term. Richard also served in the United States Army during the Korean War, was the American Legion Post 284 Commander, Past President of the Southside Democratic Club and board member of the West Side Democratic Club.
Surviving are four sons Rick Dombrowski, Robert (Erin) Dombrowski, Mark (Linda) Dombrowski, and Kevin (Janice) Dombrowski.
Visitation will take place from 10am to 12pm Monday, July 31, 2023 in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue. Funeral services will follow at 12pm. Burial with military services will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post 284.
