Richard Paul Eakins

Richard Paul Eakins, 63, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023 in his residence.

Rick was born on November 14, 1959 in Patuxent, Maryland to Richard and Maryalice (Courtwright) Eakins.  They preceded him in death along with his step-father Billy Ray Deaver.  He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and retired from Affordable Dentures.  He enjoyed building airplane models, relaxing at Lilly Lake, cooking, Notre Dame football, but most of all he loved to spoil his grandkids.

On July 20, 2000 in South Bend he married Rena Storey.  She survives along with two daughters Charley Gossett and Alexandra (Travis) Hardesty, two sons Nathaniel Eakins and Dakota Eakins, 6 grandchildren, two sisters Shari (Mike) Vallier and Juanita Deaver and a brother Steve Eakins. 

Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2023 from 2-5pm at the Marine Corps League, 539 Parry Street..  Zahoran Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.  To leave an online condolence visit our website www.zahoran.com.
