Richard King Obituary

Richard F. King, 58, passed away at 5:00am Wednesday, September 7, 2022 in the Raclin House, Center for Hospice.

 

Rich was born on October 21, 1963 in South Bend to Richard and Mary (Prikosovits) King.  They preceded him in death along with three brothers Martin, Michael, and Thomas, and an aunt Agnes Prikosovits.

 

On June 3, 1995 in South Bend he married Cheryl Reese who survives along with a daughter Christina King and fiance’ Sam Ortiz, son Richard “Ricky” King, sister-in-law Marcy King, nieces Jillian King and Allison King and aunt Elizabeth Prikosovits.

 

He was a graduate of Riley High School, received his bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph College and Master’s degree from Indiana University.  Rich was a member of the German Club Golf League, was a Cub Scout Leader and served on the board and Cal Ripken East End.  He was employed by Steel Warehouse for 20 years, and was a fan of Notre Dame, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and Chicago Bulls.

 

Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, September 11, 2022 in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue with a gathering from 2-5 and services beginning at 5:00pm.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice or Our Lady of Hungary Church.  To leave an online condolence, please visit our website at www.zahoran.com.
