Richard G. Paver

Richard G. Paver, 69, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024 surrounded by his family.

Richard was born on March 12, 1955 in Tuscon, AZ to Richard and Jeanne (Giles) Paver.  They preceded him in death along with a brother Jeffrey Paver and a nephew Kyle Shumate.

On September 15, 1984 in South Bend he married the former Carmella McGonigal who survives along with a daughter Emma (Shane) Barber, two sons Richard P. Paver and Colin J. Paver, two grandchildren Shane Jr. and Zoey, nephews and niece Matthew Paver, Cristopher Shumate and Chelsea McGonigal and many dear lifelong friends.

He was retired from AM General where he worked for over 30 years.  Richard was a member of the Izaak Walton League, enjoyed euchre, mushroom hunting, camping and coached and umpired little baseball, and playing Uno with his grandkids.

Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life for Richard and his mother Jeanne Paver, who died on October 12, 2023 will take place on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 5-7pm in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Hello in There Foundation,www.thehellointherefoundation.org.  or Caring Cove Hospice  To leave an online condolence, please visit our website at www.zahoran.com.
