Robert L. Willhite

Robert L. Willhite, 88, passed away peacefully at his residence on February 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on August 10, 1936, in Romulus, Michigan, Robert was the son of Alonzo and Elsie V. (Gapski) Willhite. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Laurie, his sisters Beverly Webster, Susie Ehlers and Martha Jarvis, and his brothers John, Ralph, and Harvey Willhite.

On February 14, 1981, Robert married Sylvia Smith, who survives him. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is also survived by his daughters, Cindy (Frank) Nagy and Jennifer (Donald) Stuff; his sons, David Willhite and Steven Willhite; and his grandchildren, Dawn Keller, April Nagy, Andrew Stuff, Alexander Stuff, and Tucker Stuff. Additionally, he is survived by his sisters, Adele Osborne and Judy Hendricks, and his brother, Tim Willhite.

A graduate of Baptist Bible College, Robert was an ordained minister who faithfully served several churches. His commitment to faith and community touched the lives of many.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 3-5pm at Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue, South Bend, IN. Funeral services will take place on Monday, March 3, 2025, at 1:00pm at Twin City Baptist Church, 420 E. Jefferson Blvd, Mishawaka, IN.
