Rodney J. Pangallo, 62, passed away at 8:04am Tuesday, January 18, 2022 in Lakeland Hospital.
Rod was born on April 10, 1959 in San Jose, CA. He was raised by his mother and father Joseph and Joyce Pangallo. Rodney retired from the United States Marine Corps and then was employed as a truck driver for J-Rayl. Rod would always have his phone in his hand, playing Words with Friends and several other games. He was also an avid reader. Anyone who knew him, knew of his love of food. There was never a worry about leftovers because Rod would take them.
On April 14, 1998 in Mishawaka, he married Patricia Marie Ellis. She survives along with his mother Claudia Pangallo, two daughters CC (Chad Stone) Pangallo and Jackie (Mitch) Kopczyk, three sons Rodney (Karli) Goulding, Robert (Jacquelyn) Nickless and Christopher Colotti, 6 grandchildren Austin Goulding, Camden Goulding, Aiden Nickless, Everly Goulding, Helena Nickless, and Autumn Kopczyk, two sisters Joy (Rich) Acena and Judy Corchero and two brothers Gary Goulding and John Pangallo.
Rodney was preceded in death by his father along with a sister Jolene Pangallo and a brother Donald Reeder.
Rod touched many hearts and will be greatly missed by his family and everyone he met.
A visitation will be held from 2-6 Saturday, January 22, 2022 in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue, South Bend. A Celebration of Life will follow. Viewing is possible through our webcast.
