Ronald E. Diller

Ronald E. Diller, 62, of Elkhart, Indiana passed away on Saturday, January 18th, at 10pm unexpectedly at his home in South Bend, Indiana.Ron was born on January 27, 1957 in Elkhart, Indiana to Walter C. Diller and Marie B. (McLemore) Diller. He was preceded in death by both Walt and Marie.He is survived by two brothers, Dale and Gary, and one sister Karen. One son and his wife. One daughter, Lori and her husband Michael, 7 grandchildren and countless friends.Ron was a boy scout and entrepreneur, owning several businesses where he developed a large network of friends and acquaintances. Ron enjoyed the company of his family and friends. He enjoyed watching Notre Dame football, playing pool, talking politics, golfing and caring for his 'four legged friends' Bj (cat) and his dogs Buttercup, Peanut and Doxie. Ron had a big heart for people and loved to help out anyone he could. He always stayed positive and confident and couldnt resist a good joke or laugh. Everyone that knew him understood that he approached each day as if it were his last and his happiness was contagious to all who entertained with him. Ron said many times throughout the course of his life "not to mourn his passing but to celebrate his life" With that said, there will be a "celebration of life" at Zahoran Funeral Home on Monday, January 27th, from 6pm-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to pet refuge.
