Ronald Emery Nagy passed away peacefully July 23, 2025 at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph Michigan surrounded by his favorite people. He was 70 year’s old. Ron lived life in the left lane. He attended parties when he could, and created his own when he couldn’t. He had a love for Rock N’ Roll and was extremely handy in the kitchen. Ron loved to cook— he was a great chef who always held space for dessert. If Ron could tell you one thing right now it would be, “There’s always room for ice cream because it always melts.” He loved to play the guitar in his adult years, and enjoyed playing any sport he could in his younger year’s. He was a big Notre Dame fan throughout his life and also loved rooting for the Oregon Duck’s! Ron lived in numerous states throughout his life. His whole life was one big adventure, and boy would he tell you about it. Ron was a great story teller. He enjoyed spending time with family. He was especially close with Blaine and Bryan who he loved making memories with. From the beginning, Ron met his middle ground being born number four out of eight sibling’s. Surviving him are the other seven starting with: Joseph (Nancy) Nagy, Roseann (Dane) Hamilton, Marian (Ken) Hintz, Jeannie (Scott) Martz, Joanie Snyder, Donald (Debbi) Nagy, and Patricia (Bob) Johnson. Ron is survived by five children: Beth Jachim (Curt Drake), Amy Nagy, Eric (Kristi) Nagy, Ron Jr. Nagy, and John Johnson. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, many cousins, nieces and nephews, and one great grandchild. Preceding Ron in death are both of his parents; Rose and Joseph Nagy. One nephew; Hal Snyder. One brother in law; Harold (Lee) Snyder, and one grandchild; ReAnna McCree. He loved everybody in his own way. Funeral services will be Saturday August 2nd, 2025. at Zahoran funeral home located at 1826 Kemble Ave. South Bend IN. You may visit with the family from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Military Honors will held at 6pm. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations payable to Zahoran to defray the cost of expenses.
