Ruth M. Corbin, 82, passed away peacefully at 5:45pm Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.Ruth was born on April 1, 1938 in Grand Rapids, MI to Peter and Myrtle (Laug) DeBree. She grew up in Grand Rapids and graduated from Central High School in 1956. Ruth went on to be a Registered Nurse and worked in the medical field for over 40 years. Ruth enjoyed reading, knitting, time at the beach and shopping, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.She is survived by a daughter Nancy (James) Eichorst of Granger, IN, a son Richard Swift of Kewadin, MI, 6 grandchildren Cassandra (Daniel) Sacha, Ryan (Danielle) Eichorst, Connor Eichorst, Trisha (Kevin) Young, Ricky Swift, and Ben (Amber) Swift, 11 great-grandchildren and her dog Sadie. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Edna Burnett, three brothers Charles DeBree, Russell DeBree, and Peter DeBree and a nephew Jim Burnett.Cremation has taken place. Her cremated remains will be buried in Fulton Street Cemetery, Grand Rapids, MI at a later date. Zahoran Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
