Susan “Twiggy” Carole Jaronik, 70 of South Bend, God called home on July 5, 2026 surrounded by her family.
She was a loving mother, gammie, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved fishing, bingo, lottery tickets, laying in the sun with her butter and lawn chair, country music, riding her bicycle “flutters”, hanging out with Kevin Smith at “The Alley” with her friends and family, watching Notre Dame football, loved her plants, gardening, painting, and bringing her great-grandchildren sweets and visiting with them.
She was born on December 11, 1955 to Richard “Dick” and Carole “Jean” (Smith) Jaronik. She worked as a painter, caregiver, and housekeeper.
She is survived by her daughter Tracy Jaronik and son Travis Giles, her beloved partner of 24 years Bennie “Joe” Martin, her dog Toby, her favorite sister Stacy Keranen, sister Lisa Buck. Grandchildren Tevin, DaVaun, and Kevin Jr. Arnold, Lillian “River”, Daisy, Michael, Alexis, Wyatt, Emma and Haven Giles, Jordan (Heather) Stogsdill, Hunter Keranen, 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Susan was preceded in death by her father Richard “Dick” Jaronik, mother Carole “Jean” (Smith) Jaronik, sister Cynthia “Cindy” Giles, brothers Michael “Butchie” Jaronik, Mark “Tommy” Jaronik, niece Starr Buck, nephew Zachary Buck, great-nephew Kingston Default and many beloved family and friends.
She will be dearly missed and forever loved by many.

Zahoran Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026 from 12-2pm in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue. Flowers are welcome.
